The former Dancing with the Stars contestant wed 40-year-old jewelry designer Christian Evans in a top secret Southern California ceremony over the weekend. Lake shared a touching photo of a private moment on her big day with fans, writing, “Yup. This is me…. Sadie Sadie married lady. 🙂 🙂 Love is in the air. Xo.”
“It was a beautiful moment I will never forget,” Lake told People of her special day on Sunday. “I wasn’t anxious or nervous. I was really relaxed and excited.”

The talk show host was previously married to Rob Sussman, with whom she has two children — Milo, 15, and Owen, 10 — and thought she would never experience this kind of joy at the age of 43.
“I didn’t think it would happen at this point in my life,” said Lake — but meeting Evans changed her mind. “We just clicked,” she added. “It just feels like he was the right one all along.”
Lake and Evans had been dating for 18 months when he proposed, and her answer surprised even her.
“‘I have everything I want,’ I would always tell my inner circle. ‘I will never marry again. Even if I meet Mr. Right, there is no need to make anything official,'” she wrote in a special column for iVillage in December.
“After a year-long relationship, he asked me to marry him — while we were vacationing in Spain. It felt so right. At 43, I have a renewed sense of excitement about everything I do. Most important, he loves my kids and my kids love him. There is nothing better than seeing all of my guys together.”
“Interestingly, no one in my life reminded me that I vowed never to tie the knot a second time — and it didn’t dawn on me, either. I think that says everything!” she finished.
