It’s not quite a sequel, but good enough! The movie Mean Moms is in the works from the same author who wrote Mean Girls.
If you loved the drama of Mean Girls, then we have some good news for you!
New Line Cinema is grabbing Beth McCarthy-Miller (writer for SNL) to adapt Rosalind Wiseman’s book, Queen Bee Moms And King Pin Dads: Dealing With The Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make — or Break — Your Child’s Future (try saying that three times fast!).
Wiseman also authored Queen Bees and Wannabees, which was the inspiration behind 2004’s Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan (pictured right for some fond memories), Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried.

The adaptation of Wiseman’s book will focus on a mother who runs into some grownup meanies in the shape and form of suburban mums. No word yet on whether Tina Fey will be involved in this project.
This is an amazing idea! A grownup and relatable version of Mean Girls… how fun! Gossiping at the soccer field, sabotaging a bake sale. We can see it now. What do you think?
