The trailer for Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper has finally been released, and those two minutes of the Bradley Cooper-starring film had us holding our breath.

Warner Bros. released the first trailer for Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper on Thursday, and it is — without a shred of doubt — the most intense two-minute clip we have ever seen. At some point we honestly felt like our hearts were going to just jump out of our chests, and you’ll know exactly what we’re referring to after watching the trailer.

The film stars Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle — the most lethal sniper in the history of the United States — and focuses on his struggles as a U.S. Navy SEAL. As you can tell from the trailer, Kyle had to make some pretty frightening decisions within seconds. It has not been specified which period of Kyle’s life the movie will span or whether it will include his tragic murder by fellow veteran Eddie Ray Routh in 2013. We’ll just have to watch and see.

While American Sniper is a hotly anticipated film and pitches Bradley for the Oscar season, some folks have been quite outspoken about the movie seemingly glorifying soldiers and their deeds.
