There is much speculation regarding Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes‘ magical daughter (born just last month)… Like whether she will melt your eyeballs with her insane beauty or whether one hears a choir of angels when beholding her gorgeous little face. None of these rumours have been confirmed just yet, save one. We now know the baby’s name.

Obviously Disney’s Esmeralda. Who else? Although Esmeralda was most likely named in homage to Mendes’ Cuban heritage rather than as a wink at a Disney classic, we’re going to ignore that. In case you were wondering, the baby’s full name is Esmeralda Amada Gosling — the couple has chosen to use Ryan’s last name for the child. We were kind of hoping for a hyphenated all-inclusive last name, but it didn’t pan out. The name was released by TMZ, which obtained Esmeralda’s birth certificate.
