Lebron James rings in first NBA championship by rapping with LMFAO

After winning his first NBA championship, Miami Heat all-star Lebron James partied hard into the evening, even taking the stage with pop sensations LMFAO for an impromptu rap. What song did they sing?

Miami’s probably still partying as we speak.

After a shortened NBA season (due to a labor lockout), the Miami Heat triumphed over the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the 2012 NBA championship in five games. And no one — absolutely no one — was more excited by the victory than Lebron James, who was named series MVP (and deservedly so).

James has been the focus of intense national , if not global, scrutiny since deciding to take his talents to South Beach in hopes of winning an elusive ring with the Heat. And after two seasons, James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and their Heat teammates made good on the championship promise.

Sports writers will debate for years if this solidifies Lebron’s legacy as an all-time great in the NBA. Discussion already has begun if “King James” can and should be compared with Michael Jordan.

There will be plenty of time for those conversations. Last night, Lebron just wanted to party.

EW.com says James and his Heat teammates ended up at the LIV Miami nightclub at the Fontainebleau hotel after the game, where the MVP — in a t-shirt bearing a vampire version of his own face — took to the stage and rapped with LMFAO. For real. It was even caught on video. We have that for you below.

Don’t be too surprised if videos like this pop up online all weekend. James has years of frustration he needs to blow off, and Miami’s bound to keep the party going throughout the weekend (at the very least). Have your fun, James. You earned it. Just remember: Next season starts right now.
