The girl-power movie about a fiery redheaded princess who doesn’t want to get married beats out the president who hates bloodsuckers for number one at the box office this weekend.
Vampires are usually money-suckers at the box office, but not this weekend when the little princess who could burst onto the scene with locks as far as the eye could see. The newest animation from Disney/Pixar, Brave, earned an estimated $66.7 million, giving it the number one spot, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Last week’s winner, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, drops to second place. The story about New York City zoo animals trying desperately to get back home earned an estimated $20 million in box office returns.
