Live action Magic Mike? Yes, please.

Producers are already talking about turning the movie into a Broadway play, and it looks like many of the stars are on board.

Two days before it opens in theaters, the stars of the movie Magic Mike are already talking about what could be next for the story.

22-year-old Alex Pettyfer, who plays Adam in the film, has said he’d love to see the film turned into a Broadway play.

According to People, Pettyfer would “absolutely” perform the story on Broadway.

“I think we should all do the opening night,” he told USA Today, speaking about himself and all of his co-stars.

But according to People, this could be more than one young star’s wish.

“We are working on it as a Broadway show, which would be a different story,” producer Reid Carolin told USA Today. “More of a romp, more of a fun night out at a club with a story.”

Carolin added, “I’m almost more excited about that than the movie because I think it’s the perfect thing for women to go see on Broadway, to be participants in the show.”

Participants? Carolin doesn’t elaborate on exactly what he means by that, but it sounds like it could be a fun night out. Or a trip to New York.

The movie is “loosely” based on star Channing Tatum’s early life. His character, Magic Mike, takes Pettyfer’s character under his wing and shows him the ways of the stripping world.

Tatum told USA Today that he doesn’t know much about Broadway or how to put together a show, but that “I would love to do Broadway.”

When asked if he would actually want to perform in the show, Tatum told the paper, “I’d do a very special guest appearance for sure.”

So ladies, when you see the movie this weekend, start to think about the fine line between a strip club and fine art. Because soon, you may be able to experience both at the same time. And don’t forget your dollar bills.
