Indie flicks take the hotdog for Redbox rentals this weekend

Indie flicks are all the rage on this Fourth of July weekend. With blockbusters in the theaters, spend some quiet time with character plots at home.

No. 1 — Jesus Henry Christ

A boy genius wants nothing more than to find the truth. Already in college at the age of 10, he decides to go on a quest to find his real father. This doesn’t bode well for his mom, played by Toni Collette. But somehow, family prevails… at least we hope so!

No. 4 — God Bless America

This is the most ironic Fourth of July movie you’ll ever see. Tired of people talking on their cell phones in the movie theater? Bullying kids on the playground? Parking in two spaces at once? So is Frank. Diagnosed with a tumor, Frank decides he’s tired of the downward spiral of America. So tired, he’s going to kill enough people to make a point.
