After just one stinky season, the Dallas Mavericks are kicking Khloe Kardashian‘s hubby, Lamar Odom, to the curb. Good news is, somebody wants him — and we’re not just talking his fame-mongering wife. That “somebody” is the Los Angeles Clippers. Back on the Kardashian’s home turf, it looks like a fresh new season of Khloe & Lamar is in the air!
Lamar Odom is ready to get back in the game and play this season for the Clippers!
Earlier this summer, Khloe Kardashian insisted the critically-acclaimed masterpiece that was Khloe & Lamar wasn’t gone for good.
She admitted they were “taking a break” from what would have been the third season of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians spinoff.
Khloe’s statement made sense in a way the constant barrage of Kardashian TV appearances doesn’t (make sense).
The basketball star’s whirlwind life
First, Lamar was shipped off to the “Big D” to play with the Mavericks.
He goes on to play one stunningly bad season with the Mavs.
His off-court life hasn’t given him solace.
It’s hard to imagine how you can focus on court after your 24-year-old cousin is shot and killed and, a day after the funeral, you’re in a car accident that results in the death of a teenager.
But now things may be looking up for the couple, and Khloe may be sticking to her words, as the former Los Angeles Laker is back in L.A. to play for the Clippers.
Where to from here on out — on and off court?
This week’s announcement follows a four-team trade finalized last week.
The Associated Press reports the 32-year-old has vowed to “revitalize his career with a once-downtrodden franchise now on the verge of title contention.”
And, who knows? He may be blessing us all with yet another season of Khloe & Lamar.
Whatever the case, TMZ is bizarrely reporting that Kris Jenner had no hand in this deal.
Kris negotiates basketball trades, too?
Apparently, tongues were wagging that Mama Kris orchestrated a “master plan” to get Lamar back to L.A.
But, perhaps for the first time ever, the momager had no part in some part of her family members’ lives.
Sources tell TMZ this was all his agent’s doing.
The site indicates Kris stays out of the sports, but not Lamar’s TV projects and deals.
