Actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth is leaving The Good Wife after a tragic accident on set.

The Buzz – Kristin Chenoweth To Leave ‘The Good Wife’ After Accident
Kristin Chenoweth has released a statement saying that, due to her on-set accident, she is leaving ‘The Good Wife’.

Bad news, Kristin Chenoweth fans: You’ll see her in a couple of episodes on the upcoming season of The Good Wife, but don’t get used to it. The pint-sized actress has pulled out of her guest stint on the show after a head injury in July.

“It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time,” Chenoweth told People in a statement Monday afternoon. “[I’m] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern.”

The Broadway vet was injured on the show’s Brooklyn set when a piece of lighting broke free and crashed on her head. She was taken to a hospital with head injuries — and they sound pretty serious, judging from her tweets about the pain.

“Today not best “pain” day. Remaining positive. (I think),” she wrote on Aug. 8.

Head injuries are nothing to joke about: Actress Natasha Richardson died in 2009 after she hit her head on a rock during a skiing accident. The wife of Liam Neeson initially refused treatment because thought it was no big deal, but she died just a couple hours later.

Actress Halle Berry was also injured on set last month. The fiance of Olivier Martinez was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital in July after she smacked her head on some concrete while filming her upcoming movie The Hive.

A rep for the actress said the head injury wasn’t too serious and “she checked out healthy and was released. She’ll continue production as planned.”

Be careful on set, actors!
