A woman with a troubled past is drawn to a small town — Storybrooke, Maine — where fairy tales may just be real and nothing is exactly as it seems. Once Upon a Time stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, and a host of other wonderful actors.
From a pair of writers from Tron: Legacy and Lost comes a new fantasy-drama on ABC called Once Upon a Time. Its first season drew a healthy viewership and featured 22 episodes. Season 2 premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 at 8/7c, and promises even more fantasy and adventure.
Synopsis:
The pilot for Once Upon a Time began with references to Snow White — and the show continues to draw on a number of popular fantasy stories and fairy tales including Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, and even Mickey Mouse.
Storybrooke is a typical sleepy oceanside town, but it has a “trapped in time” sense mixed in with modern conveniences. After a few episodes, we figured out the residents of the town are unable to leave — except Henry (Jared S. Gilmore), who leaves to get Emma (Jennifer Morrison) from Boston in the pilot. Since Emma’s arrival, the curse has begun to weaken.
