By day, Oliver Queen is the man men want to be and women want to be with: a billionaire playboy. But by night, he’s a vigilante who’s kicking a** and taking names. And did we mention that he’s major man candy?
Synopsis:
Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was presumed dead after a shipwreck that left no survivors, including his father and girlfriend’s sister — with whom he was having a scandalous affair. When a couple of fishermen found him alive in the North China Sea, he returned home a different man than the one his friends and family once knew.
While being on the island for so long, he was forced to survive independently and transformed himself into a weapon to restore the name of his family and take down anyone who has done anything to tarnish Starling City. He’s Arrow, a vigilante hottie of the night in a green-hooded leather jacket who totes around bows and an arrow, of course.
Meanwhile, Oliver attempts to make amends with his ex-girlfriend, Laura Lance (Katie Cassidy). Interestingly enough, her father is Detective Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), and he’s out to arrest whoever the hooded citizen is that has taken justice into his own hands (doesn’t this kind of sound like Spider-Man… ?). And Oliver’s mommy dearest Moira (Susanna Thompson) apparently has secrets of her own regarding the tragic shipwreck. It sounds like Oliver isn’t the only one hiding something!
Watch how it (and by “it,” we don’t mean the ship) all goes down on Arrow Oct. 30, 2012, at 8/7C.
Why should you watch?
Have you seen Stephen Amell shirtless? Well, there’s your first reason. If you need another one, the show is also based on the DC Comics superhero Green Arrow, so if you’re into Supernatural and Batman, this should be right up your alley.
