Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively wed in a top-secret ceremony Sunday night, just shy of a year after they were first linked.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds shocked fans everywhere, when they tied the knot on Sunday night in South Carolina.
While his ex, Scarlett Johansson, was getting all political and engaging youth to vote, Ryan Reynolds was keeping busy himself—by marrying his girlfriend of one year, Blake Lively.
Sources confirm that the couple wed on Sunday night at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
According to People, Reynolds and Lively held a reception under a large white tent with 60 guests, who were serenaded by none other than Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine and Bette Midler.
Midler was spotted having lunch with Lively’s mother and sister earlier in the weekend.
“A few days ago, I heard Ryan was back in town,” Kelly Gukanovich of local radio station 95.1 FM told E! News. “Then today, lots of signs went up at Boone Hall Plantation stating that it was holding a private event, so no one could get into the area. I also started hearing rumors that a celebrity wedding was taking place.”
“I am being told there were around 60 people at the event and that a local restaurant may have catered it,” she said. “Ryan has always loved it here and when he got together with Blake, he started to bring her here, too.”

It’s not entirely a surprise that the pair tied the knot. They have been inseparable for the better part of a year and even bought a home together in tony Bedford, New York — the same village where Mary Kennedy killed herself over the summer and that Martha Stewart, David Letterman, Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, Richard Gere and Rob Thomas call home.
Reynolds’ first marriage to Scarlett Johansson ended after two years in 2010.
No further details were available, and no official comment has been made by their reps—but regardless, congrats to the happy couple!
