The man arrested for trespassing while hiding in the bushes of Miley Cyrus‘ Studio City home this weekend (with scissors!) may face criminal burglary charges any day now.
A man was arrested for trespassing, after Police found him hiding on Miley Cyrus’ property with scissors in hand.
The man arrested by police this weekend at Miley Cyrus’ L.A.-area home is not your run of the mill prowler. According to the Los Angeles Times, Jason Luis Rivera told police Miley was his “wife” only after he scaled her fence, knocked on her front door and repeatedly threw himself against the house.
Apparently, Rivera was making such a stink that someone at the home called the cops. When they arrived, according to the police (via the Times), Rivera fled for the bushes.
When officers arrested him from the shrubbery (you can’t make this stuff up), he was carrying a pair of scissors and insisting: “I am a friend of Miley Cyrus… She’s my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years.”
This isn’t the first time the star, who is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth, has had an eerily similar stalking scare. Back in 2009, a 53-year-old Georgia man was charged, in part, for attempted stalking and disorderly conduct — saying he was engaged to the then-16-year-old star.
More recently, police were called to the Cyrus home in early August after a prankster dialed 911, claiming that the ex-Disney talent had been kidnapped and that shots were fired.
Luckily, Cyrus wasn’t at home for what appears to be a very real attempt by a troubled individual to get to the star.
