Anytime George Clooney is in a relationship for longer than one month, tongues wag that the notorious bachelor’s feet are going cold. So it’s completely plausible that the tabloid The Sun would get a breakup with Stacy Keibler, his girlfriend of 14 (agonizingly long?) months right… right?
Rumors started circulating that George Clooney and Stacy Keibler’s romance was over, but Clooney’s rep says otherwise.
British tabloid The Sun’s report that George Clooney split with DWTS (and former wrestling diva) Stacy Keibler must have got the pair in a tizzy, because the Oscar-winning actor’s rep is carving out the time and investing the energy to slam the claim to other media.
“A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler [is] not true,” the rep reportedly told Us magazine Wednesday. “[The story is a] total fabrication designed to sell newspapers.”
Another U.K. tabloid-type publication, The Daily Mail, says the report had Stacy yakking to friends about the breakup with the famous beau nearly 20 years her senior.

The story allegedly chalked the split up to this jaw-dropper: George didn’t want to commit.
The paper also featured a “source” who noted “George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married.”
Given the 51-year-old star’s track record, it’s not that much of a stretch; Clooney reportedly split from model Elisabetta Canalis just a few months before he and Keibler started dating. Clooney’s also made the rounds with Brit model Lisa Snowdon, and actresses Kelly Preston, Renée Zellweger and Krista Allen through the years.
Back in January (that’s 2011 — before he hooked up with Stacy), Clooney didn’t exactly sound upbeat about getting married again. Yes, again. He was married to Mad Men actress Talia Balsam for four years in the early 1990s.
“I was married,” the star told Us. “I gave it a shot.”
