Drew Barrymore is looking fabulously pregnant these days. Even though she still has about a month until her due date, but the 37-year-old actress looks like she could be ready any day now. She sat down with Haute Living Magazine to talk about her life and her future children.
“I can’t wait until I have my children,” she told the magazine. Barrymore was married only a few months ago to Will Kopelman, and the two are talking about how they will raise their family.
“I love the idea that they don’t have to do something that they have no interest in, that they can do something completely opposite if they want to,” she said. “I will be so surprised if they don’t want to do something involving food or wine or art, but I’ll be OK with it. I just want to build fun, great things for my family.”
The actress has had a somewhat rocky life, with her famous family and becoming a star at such a young age. She grew up in the spotlight and dealt with drugs and alcohol before finally returning to Hollywood and becoming a certified movie star. Barrymore is happy with her life and her decisions now, and it sounds like she wouldn’t change a thing.
“To be quite honest, I’m happy in my own life,” she told the magazine. “I don’t need to play at being someone else right now… Acting is something I’ve done my whole life, but directing is great. I get to be in my own clothes and go home to my husband, and that seems really normal and fun and feels very creative.”
From the interview, it sounds like the couple plans to have many more children after this one. With a brand-new husband and baby and a thriving career, Barrymore really has accomplished all she ever wanted.
