Baby Olive makes three for Drew Barrymore and hubby

Drew Barrymore is now a mom, too! The actress welcomed her first daughter with son Will Kopelman last week, she confirmed.

Think Reese Witherspoon was the only A-lister to welcome a child last week? Think again: Drew Barrymore confirmed that she and husband Will Kopelman welcomed their daughter last Wednesday.

“We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born Sept. 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family,” the couple told People on Monday.

“Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives.”

Pregnancy rumors started swirling earlier this year when she was spotted leaving a doctor’s office with a sonogram photo. She later showed off her bump in a custom Chanel gown when she married Kopelman earlier this summer — but she never really confirmed her with-child status.

“I can’t wait until I have my children,” she told Haute Living magazine earlier this month. The actress also said she doesn’t expect her children to join the family business.

“I love the idea that they don’t have to do something that they have no interest in, that they can do something completely opposite if they want to,” she added. “I will be so surprised if they don’t want to do something involving food or wine or art, but I’ll be OK with it. I just want to build fun, great things for my family.”

Barrymore didn’t exactly have the best childhood with parents John and Jaid Barrymore. “My mother and I split ways when I was very young and have never really reconciled,” she told W magazine in 2009.

Safe to say she plans to raise her kids differently.

“I have learned what not to do. I know I would have a great relationship with my kids,” she told The Sun in 2009. “The strange thing was, when I bought my first house in my early twenties my dad moved into the guest house — an irony, because we had never lived together.”
