Former Bachelorette star Jef Holm hides his broken heart to help a high school kid get a date to his homecoming dance.
Well, Jef Holm might not be lucky in love this week, but he helped someone else with their love life. The Bachelorette Season 8 star helped student Nick Vinci get a date to his school’s homecoming dance. The stunt was hatched by the teen, who knew that his best friend, Francesca Riggione, was a huge fan of Holm’s and The Bachelorette franchise.
Vinci contacted the former reality star, who readily agreed to stage a mock rose ceremony at Rancho Santa Margarita High School in California. The whole event was captured on video and released to the popular Bachelor spoiler website, Reality Steve.
In the video, Holm bursts into the classroom as the students squeal in delight. He then dives right into his best Chris Harrison impression: “It’s been a great week of dates, and our bachelor has been really excited to spend time with each one of you. Unfortunately, only one of you is going to get a rose.”
The girls are ushered to the front of the room as the high school bachelor enters with a rose. The teacher is heard calming down the high school students, who freak out in excitement over the whole scenario. Many of the girls are seen whipping out their smartphones to grab photos and video of the moment.
After Vinci asks Riggione to homecoming, she readily accepts his offer and gets a big hug from both men. The video was posted on YouTube by the high school bachelorette herself, where she had kind words about both Holm and Vinci. Of her date, she said, “He is the best friend I could ever ask for!!” and of Holm, she excitedly reported, “He stayed for like 15 minutes to talk and take pictures!”
Even though Holm’s relationship with Emily Maynard didn’t work out, he clearly knows the art of love when it comes to matchmaking.
