Jessica Biel‘s spa day leading up to her wedding with Justin Timberlake turned into a crash course in another culture. Thanks to the star’s selection of a coed facility in Austria for a bit of pampering, she had quite the story to tell during her chat with David Letterman Monday night.
“You can’t really keep [a wedding] a secret, but we wanted to keep most of it a secret, at least up until it actually happened. So I kind of got quite obsessed with this CIA operative scheme I put in play right before the wedding,” newly married Jessica Biel explained of her plan to visit an “obscure Alpine lodge in Austria” for a “relaxing, Zen-like” weekend.

“We’re in the spa, in the sauna, and in walk two husky Austrian men,” the Hitchcock actress, seen above alongside co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Helen Mirren and Toni Collette, went on.
“I didn’t really quite know what the protocol was, so I just laid there, frozen in my bikini and my robe and my towel and my slippers… And they drop their towels — and they are butt naked. Older, husky men. They were naked! And I’m in the middle of them!”
In case, somehow, you don’t quite have the correct imagery yet, Jessica Biel clarified, “I look over, and I realize, yes, it is confirmed — there are balls on wood. I mean, not just naked, but balls on wood, Dave!”

“I was so stunned,” the 30-year-old admitted. “I was having this internal conniption. I just laid there… sandwiched in between [them].”
In the heat of the moment, Biel and her fellow spa-goers didn’t quite realize the men were doing nothing out of the ordinary for Austria. “We found out later it was actually very normal,” she added with a laugh. “Some places in Europe, the spas are coed, and nudity is cool.”
