Lindsay Lohan claims a better work ethic than Elizabeth Taylor

The actress has a new movie coming out on Lifetime this Sunday, and she claims to be a better actress than the one she portrays.

Lindsay Lohan has never been known for her work ethic, especially in recent years, but apparently she has no idea. The actress is currently out promoting her new film, Liz & Dick, which is set to premiere on Lifetime, and said she learned a lot about Elizabeth Taylor by playing the iconic actress. She believes she is more of a professional than Taylor ever was.

“Elizabeth was drunk on sets,” Lohan said, according to Perez Hilton. “I’ve never been drunk on set, ever.”

That may be true, but her erratic behavior seems to cause as many problems as alcohol would. A producer for Liz & Dick, Larry Thompson, recently said, “Producing a movie with Lindsay is not for the faint of heart.”

But in the end, Thompson said he is proud of the final product and all of the worry was worth it.

While Lohan may feel she is more professional than Elizabeth Taylor, she also compares herself to another actress — and not in the best way. She feels she channels this actress because of her time spent in rehab.

Marilyn Monroe went to an institution and said, ‘I may not belong here like the world thinks I do, but I might as well take what I can get here and use it and help other people.’ I think that’s what everyone should take from those experiences,” she said, according to Perez Hilton.

She also talked about what she has learned from all aspects of her life, even the bad parts. The actress has been in and out of jail for the last couple years after numerous run-ins with the law.

“I did my time and I respect the law,” she said. “As hard as it was for me to admit it when I was in denial, it was a blessing in disguise. I was in solitary confinement and I took the time to really get into the right headspace. I have it tattooed: LIVE WITHOUT REGRETS. I’m not saying I wanted to go to a jail cell, but I’ve drawn from all of it.”

Liz & Dick premieres on Lifetime this Sunday, Nov. 25.
