Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen have a lot in common, and they found each other in the same room recently when shooting Scary Movie 5 (along with some brave, trusting producers). But it looks like the two really hit it off.
In January, E! News found documents claiming that Lohan owed almost $94,000 in unpaid taxes from the years 2009 and 2010. But according to Yahoo!, the total figure is closer to $234,000. It looks like her new friend, Sheen, may be helping her out with her IRS troubles.
“The two tabloid fixtures became close while working together on the upcoming Scary Movie 5,” said Yahoo!. “Among the things they talked about on and off the set? The money she owes to the IRS. Sheen had offered to help Lohan out financially a few months back, but she refused at the time.”
It looks like the actress may have changed her mind though. According to Yahoo!, “Lohan’s business manager allegedly received a check from the ex–Two and a Half Men star last week.”
According to Yahoo!, the check was for $100,000 and was applied to her IRS bill immediately. Lohan claimed that when she got the bill, she didn’t know about the debt.
“Now, sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ she was completely unaware of the problem. We’re told Lindsay actually cleaned house recently and replaced most of her business team,” said TMZ in January. “Our sources say Lindsay believes the debt was most likely lost in the shuffle, but the issue will be handled immediately.”
The money shouldn’t have been an issue for the actress, since she reportedly earned $1 million for appearing in Playboy recently. Neither Sheen nor Lohan has commented on the payment.
Audiences will be able to see the both actors together when Scary Movie 5 is released in April.
