The Fox Network has gone country. The 2012 American Country Awards premiere Monday, and we’ve got the lucky list of nominees. Among the group, one artist stands above the rest — Luke Bryan.
The American Country Awards are coming. Over the past six months, the genre’s gotten a lot of love from the Country Music Awards and Country Music Television. Now, Fox is preparing for its annual celebration.
This year, the American Country Awards has added a new category, Song of the Year, which allows performers and songwriters to get their due. The nominees, announced Oct. 10, are led by the one and only Luke Bryan.
Bryan’s album Tailgates & Tanlines helped him secure seven nominations. He’s up for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year — Male, Single of the Year, Single of the Year — Male, Music Video of the Year and Music Video of the Year — Male. Whew!
Bryan’s not home free though. He has the Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum nipping at his heels with six nominations each. All three acts will duke it out for Artist of the Year. It’s a category packed with talent like Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean.
