Was Miley Cyrus‘ Aussie fiance in a Philly street fight? We have our doubts, but take a look for yourself.
TMZ is reporting that Liam Hemsworth got into a street fight outside a Philadelphia bar late Sunday night, and they’ve got the video to “prove it.”
According to sources, another bar patron (who was very drunk) threw a rock and Hemsworth perceived that said rock was meant for him and his friend. A confrontation ensued that ended with Hemsworth holding up traffic as he stood over the collapsed, drunken stranger in the middle of a downtown street.
Just as Hemsworth cleared the street, the police showed up to break up the now-finished fight and wave off the crowd. Hemsworth and his pal left soon after. No reports have been filed surrounding the incident.
While the video seems to show something quite different, TMZ quoted the other fighter as saying, “I don’t think [Liam] faired much better.”
Liam Hemsworth is a tall, thick guy who grew up in a house with his brother, Chris, who is also so thick and tall, he ended up playing Thor. So, we tend to think Liam is perfectly capable of kicking some serious a**.
We’re not prepared to fully believe TMZ just yet, though. First, the video (available at TMZ.com) is rather blurry and you never see anyone’s face clearly. The “Liam” character is just a tall, dark-haired blurry guy. Second, multiple voices are heard and though the audio isn’t pristine, none of them appears to have an accent. Liam is from Australia. When he speaks… you hear his accent.
One thing we can’t deny: Hemsworth’s location. He’s currently in Philadelphia to shoot scenes for his new movie, Paranoia.
Aside from being Miley Cyrus‘ young fiance, Hemsworth is best known for his role as Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games. He’ll also be in the sequel, Catching Fire, due out late next year. For more Hemsworth, you can also watch Paranoia and Empire State. Or just follow Miley Cyrus’ Twitter feed.
