Star Trek Into Darkness reunites Chris Pine (Captain Kirk) and Zachary Quinto (Spock) as they face their biggest foe yet. British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is playing the mysterious John Harrison. As you can see in the above photo, he’s not on the Captain’s good side.

The studio has been tight-lipped about the true nature of Harrison. Fans have speculated that he might be Khan in disguise, but Cumberbatch and Abrams have assured us he’s not. What we do know is that he’s a very bad man.

In the new trailer he utters the chilling words, “You think you are safe. You are not.” The video showcases plenty of footage laced with destruction. It gives the title Into Darkness a whole new meaning.

Star Trek Into Darkness co-stars Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Bruce Greenwood, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. The film hits theaters May 17.

What do you think of the new trailer? Is it better than the first?
