Jimmy Kimmel dishes about his BFF Jennifer Aniston

Jimmy Kimmel dishes about his BFF and first guest Jennifer Aniston as Jimmy Kimmel Live! moves to its new time slot against rival Jay Leno.

Jimmy Kimmel kept some pretty noteworthy company this holiday season. He and his fiancée Molly McNearney were vacationing in Mexico with fellow Hollywood power couples Jennifer Aniston and her fiancé Justin Theroux and John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt.

Even though he is BFFs with Aniston, the talk show host is still amazed by the former Friends star’s popularity. He told E! News, “I think people are very interested in everything that she does. It’s unbelievable how much people are interested in her, to the point where I think I’d go nuts if I was her. Almost any question you ask is going to be interesting to people and she’s got a great personality.”

Not only does Kimmel hang out with Aniston on a social basis, he’s having her on his show along with musical guest No Doubt for the relaunch of Jimmy Kimmel Live! at its new time slot. The late night talk show is moving to 11:35 p.m. EST to compete against NBC rival The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Kimmel has made no secret about the fact that he does not get along with Leno, who has rubbed many comedians the wrong way after The Tonight Show fiasco with Conan O’Brien back in 2010.

Kimmel seems to want to move on from the rivalry, but he told the entertainment channel, “We don’t really talk. We’re not that friendly. I feel like I’ve talked about it to death. I really don’t want to continue talking about it. He does his show, we do our show. We’re competitive and these things arise.”

If you think all of the late-night hosts are sparring, think again. Kimmel has long worshipped David Letterman and even recently had the veteran late-night host on his show during his week in Brooklyn. Kimmel also reveals that he communicates on a frequent basis with the other NBC late night host, Jimmy Fallon.

With Kimmel and Letterman both recently bashing Leno in the press and the recent rumor that NBC may force retirement upon him and replace him with Fallon, 2013 is certainly shaping up to be a tough year for Jay Leno.
