We’re not going to sugar coat it for ya: Tthis week was kind of a dud in the world of DVD releases. Frankenweenie is a worthy family flick, but the other four didn’t get the most stellar reviews. Either way, we’re rounding them up so you can take your pick.
1) Frankenweenie
Frankenstein meets family dog, meets the world of Tim Burton. Frankenweenie is an animated adventure about a boy who brings man’s best friend back to life after a handful of scientific experiments. His four-legged friend is back, but nothing like before.

2) Dredd
The futuristic east coast has fallen victim to a destructive drug pandemic and it’s up to band of urban cops known as Judges to bring the city back to justice. Karl Urban stars as Dredd, and as the trailer eludes, he is the ultimate judge, jury and executioner. If you’re one of the drug lords pushing the “Slow- Mo” around the streets, it’d be wise to stay out of his way.

3) Hit & Run
Bradley Cooper, Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenowerth and Dax Shepard star in this fast-paced comedy from the same guys that brought us Wedding Crashers.Hit & Run follows the trail of a small-town couple that puts the pedal to the medal on the open highway in chase of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity though Cooper, federal marshalls and a rowdy gang of misfits are going to do everything in their power to derail the operation.

4) House At the End of the Street
If you’re looking for a bit of fright this week, check out the House At the End of the Street revamp featuring Jennifer Lawrence and Elisabeth Shue. Like any good horror flick, this film’s plot features a family in their dream home that just so happened to come with a few twisted surprises that live within the walls.

5) Stolen
We’re only going to recommend this one to the die-hard Nicolas Cage fans out there. Stolen piggybacks the Taken story with little-to-no execution.
