About that new Kimye baby: Just how surprising was it and, more important, who’s going to step up and breastfeed? Kim and Kourtney chat about babies and more during their stop by the Today Show on Tuesday.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian stopped by this morning’s taping of Today and host Savannah Guthrie wasted no time digging in about Kim’s surprising pregnancy and congratulating her on the baby on the way. But has it sunk in yet?
“I think until I really start seeing, like, a belly, it won’t really sink in,” said Kim Kardashian, told Guthrie. “It’s just like a weird realization until you really start seeing the physical changes, um, and every day’s different.”
And what about Kanye‘s announcement? Guthrie asked if Kanye’s baby announcement during a recent concert had been planned or if it was a spur-of-the-moment thing. Kim said it definitely wasn’t planned.
“No, he just kind of says what he feels,” Kim said. “Once you’re past the three-month mark, you’re pretty safe, so he just kind of goes off with what he feels and he was feeling it that night.”
As for if the baby on the way was as surprising as Kanye’s announcement, Kim stayed guarded. She did, however, share that she struggled with a lot of the same fertility issues as her sister Khloe. Always one to make sure to promote livelihood on television, Kim added, “I think it’s just such a blessing knowing my circumstances, which you’ll all find out about.”
The reality star is due in July, the same month Kourtney’s daughter Penelope was born. As a joke, Kim told Guthrie her sister’s idea to take turns working while the other plays mom and breastfeeds their children.
“She said, ‘Like one sister should baby-sit all the kids so I can go and then whichever sister’s baby-sitting should just breastfeed all the kids,” Kim explained.
“I didn’t say let’s try this,” Kourtney said, jumping in to defend herself. “But (Kim) did say, ‘Does that not freak you out?’ and I said, ‘No, it doesn’t.'”
To find out if the sisters take up co-breastfeeding duties and just how surprising the Kimye baby news was, tune in to the new season of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, which debuts on E! on Sunday, Jan. 20.
