Justin Bieber‘s on-again, off-again relationship with Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez is reportedly the topic of his new song “Nothing Like Us.”

Justin Bieber is taking a leaf from Taylor Swift’s book with new song “Nothing Like Us,” which an insider tells Us Weekly is about Bieber’s now-defunct romance with Selena Gomez.
“It tells the whole story about how he broke up with her, she begged him to take her back, and then he decided he was done for good,” Us Weekly reports.
“Nothing Like Us” seems to tell the story of a man who really loved his ex, but was done with the back-and-forth.
Bieber sings, “Gave you everything / Everything I had to give / Girl, why would you push me away / Lost in confusion / Like an illusion / You know I’m used to making your day / That’s in the past now / We didn’t last now / Guess that this is meant to be / Tell me was it worth it / We were so perfect / Baby, I just want you to see.”

Say, sorry you’re bummed, Bieber, but there’s actually no excuse for lyrics like, “Cause nothing can ever / Ever replace you / Nothing can make me feel like you do / You’d know there’s no one I can relate to / I know we won’t find a love that’s so true.”
That whole rhyming “true” with “you” and “do?” The Beatles did that in “Love Me Do!” Um, 50-plus years ago! Find a new rhyme!
Anyway, the song makes reference to a couple weathering life “together through the storm.” But reportedly Hurricane Gomez and Bieber is all over: The couple broke up, supposedly definitively, after a Christmas trip to Puerta Vallarta went awry.
Bieber also told Billboard magazine that though he’s not attending the Grammys this year and was saddened to not get a nod for “Believe,” he hopes Chris Brown captures an award because, “His music is really good.”
And his face-hitting aim isn’t bad, either.
