Long absent from the music scene, Justin Timberlake comes roaring back with a new single and a Grammys turn.
If you can’t get enough Justin Timberlake since he came back into your life with “Suit & Tie,” you’re in luck — he’ll be strutting across the stage on Feb. 10, when the 55th Annual Grammy Awards airs.
The performance will mark the first time in four years that Timberlake has performed on the Grammys stage. Grammy watchers may remember being felled in 2009 by Timberlake and T.I.’s blistering rendition of T.I.’s “Dead and Gone.”
“Dead and Gone” was nominated for both Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration that year. It didn’t win.
Will “Suit & Tie” follow, um, suit? Well, not this year. The eligibility period for this year’s awards ran from Oct. 1, 2011 to Sept. 30, 2012. Having been released on Jan. 24 of this year, “Suit & Tie” will have to wait until next year to be recognized (or not!).

Perez Hilton reports that Timberlake will be wearing a suit from designer Tom Ford, whom Timberlake chose to outfit him in the many suits he’ll be wearing as he promotes upcoming album, The 20/20 Experience.
When is that album coming out, now? Oh, yes. Feb. 11, the day after the Grammys. Coincidence? We think not.
Ford made bespoke suits for Timberlake, who wore a sharp plaid Ford number to the SAG awards earlier this week. Timberlake also name-checked the designer in the lyrics of “Suit & Tie,” which refers to “Tom Ford tuxedos.”
Timberlake is a six-time Grammy Award winner, most recently for 2008’s “LoveStoned,” named Best Dance Recording.
