Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell gives us her take on this season’s story lines and shares her hopes for one day having a home decor line.
Shay Mitchell is not just a Pretty Little face. The 25-year-old actress is also a full-time fashionista, writes a lifestyle blog and has hopes for her own home decor line one day.
Mitchell, whose favorite trend right now is “black and white everything,” tells us that she hopes to parlay her interest in fashion and home decor into a profitable venture.
“I’d love to have a home decor line,” Shay told SheKnows at the launch of Juicy Couture’s new fragrance, Couture La La. “I’m on blogs like every day just looking at fashion looks and different home decor looks. I’m so into it.”
Shay kicked off the launch by posing for pictures in an adorable red and white heart-patterned Juicy dress and chatting with us about the new scent.
“I love Juicy,” said Shay. “I feel like the message they give to young girls is ‘live your life to the fullest,’ and that’s what I try and do with my fans. I love the fragrance. I feel like it’s fresh and it’s sweet and it’s something you can wear from day to night.”
Shay says she likes her perfumes to tell people that she’s easygoing, confident and sexy sweet. But like all girls, Shay likes to show her bad-girl side as well. The Pretty Little Liars actress tells us she’s excited for her character Emily to possibly be breaking from her usual good-girl role this season.
When questioned about this week’s PLL preview that implied that Emily may have something to do with Ali’s murder, Shay told us, “I always think it’s kind of interesting when you take the sweet innocent girl and then all of a sudden she’s kind of the bad girl. I think everyone enjoys playing the bad girl.”
As for rumors that Ali may have been pregnant when she was murdered, Shay said, “I find it really interesting. Especially with the whole Byron situation and seeing him and Ali play out in that one scene. I think it’s going to be very interesting when the fans actually realize what happened with Ali’s story.”
In her own life, Shay is currently single and looking forward to a fun Valentine’s Day with her girlfriends.
“I’m going to have dinner with my best friend,” said Shay. “We’re going to do a single ladies’ night and celebrate enjoying life.”
