You’ll be able to add some heavy hitters to your Netflix queue this week, but which one should you watch first? Ladies seem to love Anne Hathaway’s stunning performance in Les Mis that earned her an Academy Award. But if you’ve already seen it, check out what else is new this week.
1) Les Miserables
Every scene in this beautiful movie looks like a 19th century oil painting. The costumes are phenomenal, and the music so good, no doubt you’ll be singing along. Keep that box of tissues nearby though, you’re sure to shed a tear — or 12.

2) Zero Dark Thirty
The torture scenes in this movie are difficult to watch, so viewing it on DVD is perfect — just fast forward to the less violent parts. Jessica Chastain gives a solid, breakout performance as she hunts down Osama bin Laden.

3) Rust and Bone
Starring Marion Cotillard and some really hot French dude, this romance centers on a whale trainer who has a tragic accident that causes both of her legs to be amputated. She’s depressed until she meets the really hot French dude, who’s a single dad, trying to make it as a kickboxer. Because he’s a really hot French dude however, he has a hard time committing to her romantically, putting Cotillard in a tough spot.
Rotten Tomatoes: 81%
4) This Is 40
This dramedy comes from writer/director Judd Apatow, who brought us another movie with the number 40 in the title, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Starring Paul Rudd and Apatow’s real-life wife, Leslie Mann and their daughters Iris and Maude Apatow, this movie examines what it means to be middle-age in Los Angeles.

Another movie perfect to watch on DVD because it’s nearly three hours long and you’ll be able to pause if needed. The first of three movies based on the JRR Tolkien novel, sweet little Bilbo Baggins begins his strange and dangerous journey.
