Justin Bieber threatens to take a break

Justin Bieber has had a rough year so far, leaving the teen idol on edge. Now he’s threatening to take a break from the stage.

It’s been a rough few months for Justin Bieber: Run-ins with the paparazzi, passing out onstage, car problems, ticked-off neighbors charging onto his property — oh, and that murder plot thing. You know, usual 19-year-old stuff — if you’re a huge international pop star, that is.

Now Bieber is speaking out about his increasingly wild rep, and claims that if things get any worse he might just run away from it all.

“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a bad person,” the superstar told Us Weekly. “I get upset about that. I have a big heart. I want to be a good role model, but some people want me to fail.”

“I’m young and I make mistakes. That’s part of growing up. I mess up sometimes.”

“I know who I am and I’m not gonna let negativity towards me bring me down. I’m a positive person and I plan on staying that way,” he told the mag. “This business can break you down, but I have a strong team around me, and my family and all the fans. The love overcomes the negativity. I’m not perfect but I’m growing and trying to be better every day. That’s part of life.”

Then Bieber dropped the bomb: He’s thinking of taking a break from fame to goof off and have fun.

“I’m thinking about my next album, next tour. Or maybe I’ll take a break,” he mused. “I’m figuring it out. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do at 19?”

“I’m young and I want to have fun. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.”

But never fear, Beliebers — Justin’s mom has your backs.

“I’ll have to talk to him about that,” she told E! News.
