With the release of Tom Cruise’s Oblivion and Will Smith’s After Earth, similar movies being released within months of each other, it brings up the idea of the many films that have been released with similar premises around the same time. Here’s a list of our top 10.

Both films were about men being followed around by cameras. The difference between the two is one knew about the cameras and one didn’t. But in the age before reality TV, the idea was a new one for audiences.
