Kate Middleton showed off her blossoming baby bump on her second wedding anniversary — but hubby Prince William had to answer the call of duty.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is spending today in a markedly different manner than this same date two years ago. While 2011 marked the most anticipated royal wedding of a generation, today the former Kate Middleton was all business as she visited a children’s hospice.
Glowing in a light peach shift dress and apricot Tara Jarmon coat with her favorite nude pumps, Kate met with kids at the Naomi House Children’s Hospice to mark Children’s Hospice Week in the UK — an occasion for which she made her first recorded video message.

“I have been fortunate to see firsthand the remarkable work that they do for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. It is simply transformational,” she shared in the video, posted on YouTube by EACHhospices.

“Children’s Hospice Week is a time to recognize, celebrate and support the inspirational work of these hospices, and those who provide palliative care to these children and families. Children’s hospices provide lifelines to families at a time of unimaginable pain. The support they give is vital.”
“In order to carry out this wonderful work, our help is needed. With our support, those providing children’s palliative care can continue to offer these extraordinary services,” she said. “It does not bear thinking about what these families would do without this. With your support, we can help ensure that these children and their families can make the most of the precious time they have together.”

Kate, who is about six months pregnant and due in July, flew solo at the event as Prince William was called to duty in his job as an RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot — but not to worry. Royal insiders say the couple will reunite this evening for a private romantic anniversary dinner.
