RED HOT BOOK OF THE WEEK: The Repeat Year by Andrea Lochen

What if you could do over an entire year? Andrea Lochen explores that concept in her novel, The Repeat Year, about a nurse who, after having the worst twelve months of her life, gets to live them all over again. An engrossing book full of surprises, it’s our pick for the Red Hot Book of the Week.

The Repeat Year

We’ve all had bad days, weeks, even months — but what about a bad year? One you’d sooner forget. In Andrea Lochen’s, The Repeat Year, intensive-care nurse Olive Watson gets a re-do. After living the worst year of her life, she’s given a second chance to relive her past and try to figure out where she went wrong. So what happened?

She had a messy breakup with her boyfriend. Her mother might remarry and she’s not happy about it. And there have been heartbreaking losses at the hospital. So, needless to say, Olive is ready for a fresh start.

But she never expected she’d actually get one… until she wakes up in her ex-boyfriend’s bed on New Year’s Day — a day she’s already lived.

Shouldering the burden of memories that no one else can recall, Olive begins to question herself and everything she knows, until she finally meets someone else who knows what she’s going through: Sherry, an experienced “repeater.” And Olive finds out that she gets a chance to rewrite her future. Now, with the experience of a lifetime ahead of her, she has to decide what she really wants. Now that she has a chance to change her life and make it exactly as she wants it, will she? Or will she choose to keep it the same, mistakes and all?

Sounds like a juicy book, right? It is. In fact, you can read an excerpt and see for yourself!
