Music review: Emblem3 “Chloe (You’re The One I Want)

Sporting yet another positive message, California-cool and laid-back trio Emblem3 melts our hearts with the charming single and darling video for “Chloe (You’re the One I Want).”

Hey, you! How important are names to you?

Do certain names have a personal significance? Do the names we choose for our children or even our pets reveal something deeper about us?

I’ll take a break from philosophizing to cut to the latest single from the contestants that almost made it to the Top 3 on The X Factor last year: Emblem3. Yeah, I wonder about their name all the time.

Someone looked at their “client list”! Who is rumored to be the new X Factor judge? >>

And what do you have it? Emblem3 fancies a name that apparently is near to their hearts — “Chloe.” The guys — Wesley Stromberg, Keaton Stromberg, and Drew Chadwick — debuted this single and broke the hearts of non-Chloes everywhere. But fear not, brave fans! The band told Fuse that though she is the fixation of their interest in the song, “Chloe” actually represents a “being” whose “inner beauty outshines and is more attractive than their outer beauty.”

Heart. Melted. Especially after watching this powerful message depicted onscreen.

While I still am reeling from the relief that rushed through my veins, I’ll make mention of this band’s 2013 accomplishment of signing with Syco Music and Columbia Records. Congrats boys, you deserve it. Their sunny personalities and upbeat attitude really beamed on the show and are ever-present in this hit. Perhaps they can credit mentor Simon Cowell for the success we can only hope will explode with the release of the album they’re working on.

What was happening in Mr. Cowell’s life the last time we heard about him? >>

Their bright smiles and innocent glances but obvious urban flair are captured even in this adorable music video for the song. The video highlights romantic sentiments like this:

“If only you could believe in yourself in the way I believe in you
…If only you could see all of the beautiful things that I see in you”
