Paris Jackson‘s suicide attempt goes far beyond normal teenage angst. A source reveals the inner turmoil of the teen who seems to have it all.
Paris Jackson’s suicide attempt was a cry for help that was a long time coming, says a source close to the Jackson family.
Isolated, lonely, depressed and desperately missing her father, the 15-year-old has been spotted with what look like cut marks on her arms in recent weeks before reportedly swallowing 20 ibuprofen and slicing her wrists with a kitchen knife Wednesday.
“Paris has been very, very depressed for a while. She’s been throwing fits and tantrums, kicking and screaming and cutting herself,” the source told People.
“She misses her father greatly. She was the center of Michael’s world and it’s all different now. She says that she is lonely and that she doesn’t feel loved.”
“Some of this is normal teenager things, hormonal changes. But now it’s serious,” said the source. “Paris has said that there is something missing in her life. This is a cry for help.”

Another source revealed to People the reason why Paris reached out to her biological mother Debbie Rowe: abject loneliness.
“Paris is very unhappy and alone. She’s living in this place and there’s security and uncles and all these hangers-on. And she’s alone. That’s one of the reasons she reached out to Debbie Rowe — she wants a family, she’s missed her dad.”
Mark Lester, godfather to Paris and her brothers Prince and Blanket, said he wouldn’t be surprised if Paris completely turns her back on the Jackson clan as soon as she’s of age.
“I’m sure when Paris hits 16 she will take herself out of that Jackson clan, walk out of that door and never turn back. She will never go back. I’m glad she’s got Debbie Rowe in her life,” he told Grazia magazine.
“It appears to be the case that each family member has a different agenda. You’ve got all the brothers and sisters taking an interest in their lives now. I think it’s inevitable when they reach 16, or when Katherine dies, that they will say to the rest of the family, ‘Back off, it’s my life.'”
Paris remains under psychiatric evaluation in Los Angeles.
