Relationships are never easy. That seems doubly true in Hollywood, where A-list stars’ hectic schedules keep them traveling from place to place, and settling down can be tricky. Of course, some celebrity romances seem destined to last no matter the obstacle, but other celebrity couples like Scott Disick and Sofia Richie, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, and other star couples have called it quits so far this year.
We’ve seen a few marriages come to an end — screenwriter Lena Waithe and now ex-wife Alana Mayo were only married for a few months before parting ways and Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters lasted only 12 days.
Whenever long-term Hollywood couples break up, our biggest concern is always about their kids — a tricky situation for any parents to navigate, but especially when you’re doing it in the public eye. Luckily, parents like Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan or Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have shown us that it’s totally possible to gracefully, sensitively handle a high-profile split. Their number one tip? It’s all about the kids’ happiness and comfort — not the parents.
So, which of our favorite stars went through a breakup this year? From the end of Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s nearly seven-year marriage to Metcalfe and Santana ending their engagement, here are all the celeb couple splits of 2020.
