Last night’s Emmys saw us get a real-life Pearson reunion, as stars like Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia (both nominees) stepped out. We’ve already gushed about Moore’s dress, but we rounded up the other This Is Us cast looks at the Emmys this year too. You may know these stars solely as their This Is Us counterparts, but many of them surprised us with bold looks or total makeovers from their time on the show.
As we know from watching the Game of Thrones cast grow up, working with child actors means expecting your cast to change wildly between seasons. On This Is Us, those actors include the daughters of Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson): 10-year-old Faithe Herman, 14-year-old Eris Baker, and 15-year-old Lyric Ross. Then there are the cast members who play young versions of the Big Three: 21-year-old Hannah Zeile and 12-year-old Mackenzie Hancsicsak for Kate; 18-year-old Niles Fitch and 11-year-old Lonnie Chavis for Randall; and 20-year-old Logan Shroyer and 12-year-old Parker Bates for Kevin.
Many of these actors have been along for the ride since Season 1, and they’ve played a huge role in shaping the story as we know it. It’s wonderful to watch them grow as performers, and even better to see them come into their own as red carpet stars (can we please discuss Faithe Herman’s yellow dress?!). Here are all the This Is Us cast looks — take a look.
Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore absolutely stunned at this year’s Emmys, rocking high-volume hair and a deeply romantic off-the-shoulder pink and red gown. And yes, we’re getting major Rebecca Pearson vibes from this ensemble.
Milo Ventimiglia
And hello to Jack Pearson! Milo Ventimiglia looked predictably dapper on the purple carpet — we’re loving the understated Brunello Cucinelli ensemble, a perfect complement to his laid-back demeanor.
Sterling K. Brown
Sterling K. Brown’s Randall makes us swoon every week, and the actor’s award show looks are no different. Brown’s red Brioni jacket is a daring touch in all the right ways, and the actor had his signature shades on to complete the look.
Chrissy Metz
Chrissy Metz brought the glamour all the way this year, and we’re sure Kate Pearson would approve. Her sequined gunmetal gown is off-the-shoulder, has adorable ruffle detail, and goes perfectly with the star’s smoky eye and nude lip.
Justin Hartley
It looks like both the Pearson boys brought some color this year, with Justin Hartley in a stunning blue Isaia suit. Too many men play it safe and go for a classic black tux at these things, and we’re glad Hartley had a little more fun with it.
Susan Kelechi Watson
Pink and red dominated the Emmys looks for women this year, with Susan Kelechi Watson rocking similar hues to co-star Mandy Moore. Watson’s also features an off-the-shoulder design and dramatic sleeve, and she finished the look with colorful jewelry and a matching red lip.
Chris Sullivan
Chris Sullivan isn’t as traditional a guy as Toby Damon on This Is Us, and he isn’t a traditional guy when it comes to style, either. This gray patterned suit (along with those glasses!) showcases his kooky sense of humor, and we couldn’t imagine a more Toby-appropriate choice.
Jon Huertas
Jon Huertas kept it simple but chic with a black-on-black ensemble. He also perfectly complemented wife Nicole Huertas’s red and black patterned dress.
Melanie Liburd
Melanie Liburd was all confidence posing for Emmys photos, showing off her unique black and white outfit that combined suit pants, a gauzy strapless top and long train, and a buttoned-up peplum addition at her waist. We’re not sure what to call it, but we are sure she looks fabulous.
Jennifer Morrison
Jennifer Morrison glowed with a bare-faced makeup look, leaving all the drama to her sequined strapless top and silver shoes.
Ryan Michelle Bathe
Ryan Michelle Bathe was a vision in blue, pairing a shimmery lid with her long gown, dramatic train, and sequined off-the-shoulder sleeves.
Faithe Herman
How have we all been sleeping on Faithe Herman?! The youngest Pearson daughter stole the show (and channeled major Belle vibes) in this sweeping yellow one-shoulder gown, complete with a full skirt and delicate silver detail.
Eris Baker
It’s hard to believe that Eris Baker is only 14 when you look at her: This grey gown, silver headpiece, and unbelievably cool set of rings could all easily belong to an actress further along in her style journey. But no, Baker seems to just be born with iconic style — and we can’t wait to keep watching her award show looks.
Lyric Ross
Hello, Deja! Lyric Ross is breathtaking in a gold-detailed, long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder dress, and every facet of this look — from her sleek chin-length ‘do to her multicolor nails — is perfection.
Lonnie Chavis
Lonnie Chavis (AKA the youngest Randall) looked every bit the mini Sterling K. Brown in his red-accented look. Also, that smile is seriously melting our hearts.
Niles Fitch
Niles Fitch (AKA the slightly older Randall) has grown into such a handsome young man, as you can clearly see in this grey patterned suit. We don’t know many 18-year-old boys who dress this well, but Fitch has clearly mastered his formal-but-casual look.
Mackenzie Hancsicsak
Mackenzie Hancsicsak might win the outfit round-up by default: her dress has pockets, guys! It’s also so elegant, with the thin halter straps, perfect red lip, and regal updo, but mostly, let’s all appreciate the fact that she is rocking pockets on the red carpet. A true queen.
Hannah Zeile
Hannah Zeile looked absolutely gorgeous (and seriously grown up!) last night, in a silver-sequined black strapless gown topped off with a gauzy trailing cape. Her sequins also match Chrissy Metz’s pretty well, FYI — which led to some great side-by-side photos of teen Kate and adult Kate Pearson.
Parker Bates
The youngest Kevin Pearson dazzled in a sequined black jacket, and we wouldn’t expect anything less. Parker Bates was absolutely adorable in his sparkling get-up, balancing out the look with a casual slip-on shoe.
Logan Shroyer
Every bit the brooding teen he plays on This Is Us, Logan Shroyer went as classic as you can get with this black and white tux and dress shoes. The long hair and slight squint totally remind us of teen Kevin — we can see why he was so perfect for the role!
