All the Red & Pink Dresses on the Red Carpet at the Oscars

Hollywood’s biggest night is here, and with all the red and pink we’re seeing on the carpet, we’re definitely noticing a Valentine’s Day theme happening. From Chrissy Metz to Regina King in Versace to Kaitlyn Dever in Louis Vuitton, these Valentine’s Day-inspired gowns are truly gorgeous.

And the red gown worn by Booksmart star Kaitlyn Dever isn’t just beautiful; it’s eco-chic — the strapless sweetheart number was made with ethically sourced and sustainable materials. In an interview with E! Sunday, Dever dished on her support for Red Carpet Green Dress: “Supporting sustainable clothing is really important,” she told the outlet. Dever also told E! she likes shopping vintage: “I think you can think a little bit before buying something new.”

We’re also seeing a lot of billowy fabrics, flowing trains, and puffy sleeves this year — and we can’t ignore the intricate beadwork on Molly Sims, Regina King, and nominee Laura Dern (who wore pale pink and black, matching with her mother Diane Ladd, whom she brought to the Oscars as her date). Dern was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in  Netflix’s Marriage Story — the same category Ladd was nominated for in 1974 for her performance in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.

Read on for our favorite Oscar frocks in shades of crimson, rose, blush, poppy, and more.
