Mother’s Day is always a special holiday, and this year is no exception. Still, there’s no denying that 2020’s festivities will feel a bit different from years past. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, moms everywhere will be hunkered down at home with their little ones — and that includes the celebrities celebrating Mother’s Day for the first time.
In the past, we might have expected photos of big restaurant brunches. Or family vacations to commemorate Mom’s first year in the motherhood. This year, we’re far more likely to see candid snapshots of new moms hanging out at home. There might be pictures of breakfast in bed. Maybe Pretty Little Liars’ Shay Mitchell will share another oh-so-cute video of her daughter Atlas. Benji Madden will undoubtedly post a swoon-worthy Mother’s Day tribute to Cameron Diaz. And, hey, maybe he’ll even include a peek at the couple’s new baby girl, Raddix.
But even if no photos and videos make their way to social media, it’s safe to say that celebrities celebrating Mother’s Day for the first time this year will be soaking up every second of the day — quarantine can’t dim these stars’ new mama light.
So, join us in showering them with a little extra love on this milestone holiday.
