Beyoncé Did Not Make Forbes’ Top 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities List — But These 20 Women Did

Forbes has released its annual round-up of the world’s highest-paid celebrities, and last year’s #1 Taylor Swift has officially been dethroned. Taking her place as the highest-paid celebrity of 2020 is Kylie Jenner, who at 22 years old took in $590 million this year. She’s also the only woman in the top 10 highest-paid celebs — both impressive and indicative of larger problems. The world’s richest celebs are split between star athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo (#4) and Serena Williams (#98) and entertainers like Kanye West (#2) or Jennifer Lopez (#56), and there are more than a few surprises along the way.

For one thing, we were surprised to see how Kim Kardashian West’s ranking varied from her husband and sister Kylie. While she’s the only other member of the family on this list, Kylie and Kanye sit and #1 and #2, while Kim sits at #48. Also surprising? Judge Judy Sheindlin clocking in just below her at #49 — having earned more than Pink, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Tom Brady, and more.

As always, white men are the most-represented group on this list, a trend we’re more than ready to put behind us. Black men accounted for 19 spots, but their earnings were high, with four of the top 10’s slots going to Dwayne Johnson, LeBron James, Tyler Perry, and Kanye West. Meanwhile, women filled 20 spots, and black women only four, all below #60: Rihanna, Naomi Osaka, Oprah Winfrey, and Serena Williams. (Yes that’s right! Beyoncé is not on this list.)

Even for #100 on this list (Mohamed Salah, if you’re curious), one thing is clear, these stars all have the capital to make a donation to the organization of their choice right now. We hope each and every one of them celebrates making this list by doing just that.
