Rachael Ray won’t be whipping up sammies at her Hamptons hideaway anymore! The celebrity chef just sold the impressive estate for a cool $3.25 million. Since the bonus home has been on the market on and off since 2017, the deal is undoubtedly cause to celebrate. And not just for Ray, either. Thanks to the real estate listing, we finally get to take a peek inside her Hamptons hideaway and see how the other half spends their summers.
Ray, who has penned numerous cookbooks and helmed her own cooking shows, is a born and raised New Yorker — and her portfolio of properties reflects that. In addition to the Southampton estate Ray just unloaded, she and husband John Cusimano split their time between a colorful New York City apartment and rustic-chic cabin on Lake Luzerne in the heart of the Adirondacks. To put it in Ray’s own words, how good is that?!
Still, we imagine it can’t have been the easiest thing in the world to let go of such a stunning little getaway. By little, we definitely mean sprawling and situated on over six acres of lush green lawns and gardens. Not surprisingly, it has a killer kitchen (two, in fact). Sort of surprisingly, though, the single-story residence boasts a decidedly muted, sophisticated aesthetic. Guess Ray’s NYC apartment is where she keeps all the color!
Let’s take a look at what Ray is saying goodbye to in selling her Hamptons home.
Back to Nature
While Ray has all of the modern amenities she could possibly want inside her home, it’s surrounded by six acres of park-like nature.
An Elegant Exterior
Built in 1976, the 3,000 square foot home boasts three bedrooms and five (!) bathrooms.
Backyard Oasis
Ray’s oversized gunite pool serves as a respite from the sticky summer heat of New York, but is also heated — making it ideal for brisk fall swims as well.
Beige for Days
Who would have guessed that Ray’s main living area would be so elegant and understated?
Open Concept Style
The main living space features an open living and dining room area that leads into the kitchen and out to the pool.
Chef’s Kitchen
Of course Ray would have an incredible kitchen! How else is she going to whip up all her delish recipes?
Dining Nook
Who wouldn’t want to sit at this cozy dining alcove and eat breakfast overlooking the pool?
Modern Views
A media area offers the perfect space to catch up on cooking shows (or whatever Ray’s watching these days!).
Sweet Dreams
All of the main home’s ensuite bedrooms are beautiful, but you can’t beat the master bedroom’s access to the pool and patio.
A Beautiful Bathroom
The master bathroom in Ray’s Hamptons home is downright divine. That tub! Those windows! We’ll take it all (or we would have, you know, if we had $3.25 million).
The Pool House
The pool house serves as an ideal space for housing guests, or just a nice place to escape when Ray needs to clear her head.
Home Office
How many sammy recipes do you think Ray came up with while sitting at this stunning desk?
Kitchenette
Naturally, the pool house contains its own little kitchen area, which seems to borrow its aesthetic from the kitchen in the main house.
Plenty of Parking
Oh, we can only imagine the parties Ray hosted at her Hamptons compound. She certainly had the parking space to entertain plenty of guests! And since the home is adjacent to the Southampton Golf Club, we bet her husband did his fair share of entertaining guests, too.
