It wasn’t love at first bump for Daphne and Simon. That’s not a euphemism, they actually first met by bumping into each other. He thought she was flirting by bumping into him, and she thought he was an arrogant idiot for thinking this. But they were clearly both attracted to each other and this scene brilliantly sets up what is to come.

The First Dance – Season 1, Episode 1

In Simon and Daphne first dancing scene, the tension is palpable and we were practically begging them to just kiss already but, as you will soon see, good things come to those who wait.

Daphne Touches Herself – Season 1, Episode 3

“What happens between a husband and wife, is a natural continuation of what happens at night,” Simon explains in episode three. Daphne is perplexed: “At night? What happens at night?” Simon says, “When you touch yourself.” And Daphne is the definition of mind-blown.

While Daphne is dancing with the smitten Prince Friederich, she realizes he’s about to propose. So she runs outside. Simon follows, and she tells him she’s going to marry the Prince and that she barely cares about Simon. Lies, Daphne. She runs off and of course, he follows. They race through the garden maze. What athletic foreplay! Nothing like a nice little woodsy marathon in formal wear to get you going.

The Duke and Daphne can’t stop nature. They kiss for the first time. But then they’re Duke-blocked by her older brother, Anthony, who punches Simon and claims he’s damaged his sister’s virtue and declares, “You must marry her!” Simon, “I can’t marry her!” Daphne, sad face. (And us too. That hurt, Simon). And then they’re both like “WE SHALL DUEL.” Okay. Or you could just relax. And everyone can just do what they want. Let them make out already.

Daphne asks Simon, “You would rather die than marry me?” He says, “I am truly sorry.” Son of a duke! The episode ends with their engagement. But it’s like the worst engagement ever. Daphne rides a horse into the middle of their duel and almost gets shot. She tells Simon he will marry her since someone saw them. He says, “I can never give you children.” Ahh, so Simon had a legit reason, thinks Daphne. Dueling brother comes over and is all, “Let’s finish dueling!” And then Daphne makes a sacrifice and says, “The Duke and I are to be married.”

Love Speech – Season 1, Episode 5

Daphne and Simon go to the Queen to allow them to get married. Simon gives a speech about how it was not love at first sight for them, but rather disdain followed by friendship. Swoon. The phrase “make love” should never have been invented but if there was a description of it, it would be this speech. Simon invented what we shall call speech sex. And Daphne and the Queen looked very satisfied. What can we say, he gives a good speech.

First Time Sex – Season 1, Episode 5

Daphne has sex for the first time. With Simon. And loves it. Shocker. 

We also see Simon’s butt for the first time. In this series, we see a lot of Simon’s butt. But important to note it’s very different from other shows. Gender equality in nudity is sexy. So thank you, Bridgerton.

Back to their wedding night. It starts off with Simon requesting separate rooms which then leads to both of them pacing rapidly in separate hotel rooms. What can we pull out from this scene is that it’s really hard to get a handle on where Simon is coming from. This moment reminds us that Simon’s lie about not being able to have children will eventually come between them.

The Honeymoon – Season 1, Episode 6

Their short-lived, sex-filled honeymoon kicks off this episode. The newlyweds arrive to Simon’s home for the first time and thus kicks off the sex montage honeymoon. Episode 6 is about 10 different sex scenes. These two can’t get enough. They have sex everywhere in their giant house and around it. There’s even picnic sex. 

Dinner Time – Season 1, Episode 6

These two do not eat their dinner. They’re like, “Thanks for the chicken, but we prefer sex.” But protein be damned, they race out into their giant yard and start disrobing. And then on cue, the rain starts. Now, these two aren’t totally impractical. They run to the shelter of their stone gazebo and do it there.

Simon is all about giving Daphne the power here. He asks her what she wants. And she says simply, “You.” And then they have rain sex. And he ends with his glorious roll-off. Daphne asks him if it hurts when he does that. He assures her it feels as good to him as it does to her. Be honest, Daphne, sex on a cold, wet stone floor is not that comfortable is it?!

Chutes & Ladders – Season 1, Episode 6

Daphne and Simon love a good roll among stacks of books, even if having sex in a library is extremely inconsiderate if you ask us. In this scene, Daphne is on a ladder in the middle of their giant library while Simon is performing oral on her. It’s like chutes and ladders, except he shoots and she’s on a ladder. 

Pass the Tissues – Season 1, Episode 6

This scene is the “The Education of Daphne Bridgerton.” Sex education, that is. Daphne and Simon engage in some good old fashioned desk sex. Papers flying everywhere. When Daphne sees Simon finish into a tissue, she is hit with a biology bomb. Seriously, you’re now just realizing?! Daphne!

The final honeymoon scene is actually a huge fight, a sex fight. And it’s problematic. Daphne and Simon duke it out. But the Duke can’t get it out. This is not a good sex scene for D&D. In fact, they’re both wrong. Simon lied. And it caught up with him. Daphne learned of his lie, and chose to confront it by not letting our pull-out magician do his greatest trick. Not cool, Daphne. Not cool, Simon. So then they FIGHT. Like a big fight. And they are mad.

Stairway to Heaven – Season 1, Episode 7

Daphne and Simon are still fighting. She’s playing the piano really aggressively, and he’s shooting pigeons and drinking whisky. And they are cutting their meat really roughly. And sitting at their weirdly long dinner table on opposite ends.

Daphne and Simon ignore each other all day. He finally comes home, and well these two aren’t very good at not having sex, so they fall on to the stairs and Simon is very attentive to Daphne below the border. Correct, he performs oral on her on the stairwell.

Daphne asks him if he wants to finish in the bedroom, and he’s like, “Nope.” He tells her if she’s pregnant he’ll support her and the baby. But if not, they’ll be married in name only. Anthony Dines Out… Season 2, Episode 7

Season 2 was a slow love-hate build for the Viscount and his suitor’s sister, Kate. But when they two finally let their guard down and pants down, Anthony made it count, like any proper Viscount would do. Bridgerton is known for pushing the boundaries, and when Anthony popped up to check to make sure she was enjoying what he was doing, then popped back down to finish, season 2’s slow build almost seemed worth it.

Of course, then, they both felt guilty and more drama ensued. But they were goners. And it was only a matter of time until they realized what everyone else knew. 

The Carriage Scene – Season 3, Episode 4

Finally. When Colin and Penny let their guard down and can’t keep their feelings or anything else in check, that carriage never knew what was about to hit it. So they don’t just kiss, no no, Colin goes for the under carriage in the carriage. He lends Pen a helping hand… As one of the longest kissing scenes in Bridgerton history rolls merrily along.

It stops abruptly, but thankfully, neither Colin nor Penelope show regret. In fact, they want to keep rolling.

What We’ve All Been Waiting For – Season 3, Episode 5

Knowing how desperately we were all pining for a good Polin sex scene, Bridgerton creator knew they had to go all out so we got the longest sex scene in the shows history. And, honestly, it still wasn’t enough!

The foreplay before their steamy sex comes in the form of Colin standing up for her bride-to-be in front of her cruel mother who believes Penelope must be trapping the Bridgerton. “Were you not so narrowly concerned with your own standing,” Colin tells her, “you might see that Penelope is the most eligible amonst you.” Um…. swoon!

Colin whisks her back to his home and makes sweet love to her. The camera follows Colin’s gaze, lingering on Penelope’s beautiful features before they consumate on a chaise longue. How regal.
