Nicole Richie and Joel Madden love their Beverly Hills neighborhood so much, they decided to sell their home and move up the street. They first put their 5,515-square-foot home on the market and sold it to Adele for $10 million in June. Then they turned around and bought an even bigger home just up the street for $10.2 million.
Their new property is located in the elite, gated community known as The Summit, where they can borrow a cup of sugar from neighbors like Serena Williams and Hilary Duff. The 6,165-square-feet home offers five bedrooms and six bathrooms and was renovated in 2019, so this residence is a turnkey property — and if you like marble, this is the home for you.
Designers Sam Gnatovich and Alexi Rennalls of SIMO Design admitted to Architectural Digest that “it wasn’t love at first sight” when they saw the property, but they saw the possibility and drew inspiration from a very recognizable French brand. “We looked at the Chanel store in Paris and [ancient] stone buildings of storefronts that honored the push and pull of old and new,” Gnatovich revealed.
And we get exactly why Richie and Madden love this place. There’s a beautiful pool for daughter Harlow, 13, and son Sparrow, 11, to enjoy while the adults can sip a drink by the outdoor fireplace. And wait until you see the master bedroom suite — it’s stunning. Check out the photos of the couple’s 90210 abode and don’t miss more photos of the estate at Dirt.
90210 Living
This home was originally built in 1987, but the 2019 renovation makes this a spectacular, updated property.
Elegant Kitchen
The kitchen has a very upscale feel with the marble countertops and backsplash acting as a contrast to neutral walls. It’s a sophisticated design for the most-used room in the house.
Stunning Open-Floor Plan
The casual eat-in kitchen leads to a stunning outdoor area on one side and the comfy living room on the other side. It’s the perfect set-up for large family gatherings.
Inviting Home Office
Because working from home is a big focus for many working parents, this study allows lots of natural light to flow in and a cozy place to rest after too many hours on the internet.
Classic Bedroom
This beautiful bedroom has so many lovely details from the marble fireplace to the crown and chair-rail molding — it gives a classic feel to the master suite.
A Marble Dream
We told you this place was for marble lovers! That sunken tub and gorgeous vanity make this room feel expensive (and it is expensive). And yes, another fireplace for a romantic soak in the tub.
Endless Closet
The floor-to-ceiling mirror gives this room an endless feel and there is plenty of space for all of Richie’s wardrobe (and maybe a few open spaces for Madden, too).
Outdoor Entertaining
With a beautiful sunset in the distance, this backyard is a complete oasis away from the busy city of Los Angeles. It’s a wonderful spot for entertaining, but it’s also a serene way to end the day.
