All the Celebrity Kids at This Year’s Met Gala

If you’re watching this year’s Met Gala, you’ve no doubt noticed there’s something a little different. Yes, we have the stars we expect every year like Jennifer Lopez and Sharon Stone, but we also have YouTuber Emma Chamberlain, TikTok star Addison Rae, Shawn Mendes, and a handful of other young stars who are first-time guests at the Met Gala. It’s a little suspicious that Anna Wintour seems to have swapped out quite so much of her usual guest list so far, but it has provided the opportunity for our favorite kind of celebrity sighting back on the red carpet: the celeb off-spring following in mama’s fashion footsteps. Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber, VP Kamala Harris’ step-daughter Ella Emhoff, and more stars with famous parents stepped out at this year’s Met Gala red carpet, and while we’re nostalgic for the days their parents graced those steps, we do love to see the next generation unfold.

This year’s Met Gala theme was American fashion, to coincide with Part I of a two-part exhibit opening this September titled “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” The theme has been loosely interpreted by the gala’s illustrious guests, with each who has the privilege of speaking with Vogue host Keke Palmer sharing who they’re wearing and what the theme means to them.

For some in attendance, the Met Gala may as well be a family rite of passage — from Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s early entrance recalling his parents Victoria and David Beckham’s years at the gala, it was clear tonight would be about the future of these families. Read on for all the celebrity kid appearances at this year’s show.
