15 Photos of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Power Couple Trip to NYC

It’s been well over one year since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to take a step back from their roles as senior royals with the British royal family, and within the past several months, the couple has proven that their passion for people and service is at the forefront of their work. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been utilizing their platform to empower and champion those in need. That mission was so apparent during their September 2021 trip to New York City, their first since welcoming daughter Lilibet Diana!

Meghan and Harry touched down in NYC and went off to engagements as soon as they could. Their first stop was to One World Trade Center, where they met with Mayor de Blasio and Governor Hochul. From there, The Sussexes had meetings with national and community leaders, along with making a stop to a school in Harlem where Meghan read her book The Bench to a group of students — and Harry, of course.

Then, there was the main event. Meghan and Harry made an appearance at Global Citizen Live, where they advocated for vaccine equity across the globe, and entreated pharmaceutical companies to make more of an effort for those who do not readily have access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Wherever they went, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demonstrated such a united front, and they never hesitated to show the world how much they love each other.
