The only thing we love more than red carpet season is the beautiful gowns and even more beautiful speeches. And with the InStyle Awards, there was no shortage of either. The 2021 InStyle Awards ceremony was the pinnacle of glamour and artistry, with many A-listers being honored for their iconic work in the industry. This year, stars like Melissa McCarthy, Simone Biles, Michael Kors, Jason Bolden, Lona Vig, Nina Park, Samantha McMillen, Representative Katie Porter, and Anifa Mvuemba were honored for their outstanding — and inspiring — work.
Famous poet Amanda Gorman presented the award for Simone Biles by reading her an original poem called, “The Greatest.” The heartfelt poem left the crowd in wonderment, especially by ending it with this line, “Simone has showed that power is listening to a voice that is your own, that greatness lies not in if we’ve won but if we’ve grown, and that if one woman speaks her truth, she is never alone.”
With the amazing people honored came many guests who wore some amazing — and rather unique — gowns for the evening. From mother-daughter duos to a Big Little Lies reunion of Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Zoë Kravitz, check out who rocked their outfits at the InStyle Awards.
