Whether or not you love football is irrelevant when it comes to the ever-so iconic plethora of commercials the Super Bowl gives us, year after year. Without fail, we see some commercials we’ll be willingly replaying on YouTube for the next few weeks. Between cute animal commercials to movie trailers, we love them all. But our absolute favorites are the elaborate commercials with some of our favorite celebrities.
Last year, we got Peyton and Eli Manning, Michael B. Jordan, Nick Jonas, Dolly Parton, Lucy Liu, Megan Fox, and even Serena Williams, to name a few. Year after year, brands somehow up the ante by giving us celebrity duos and situations we didn’t know we needed until the Super Bowl.
With the Super Bowl coming back on Feb 13, we’re getting prepared from the crowd-pleasing snacks to catching up on the commercial teasers — we’ll be ready. Well, mostly. Because this year, brands have upped the ante again with some of our favorite celebrities making their Super Bowl commercial debuts. Stars like Zendaya, Lindsay Lohan, and even Ted Lasso’sHannah Waddingham will make an appearance — and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Brands have already started releasing some teasers, you can watch an array of the teasers HERE.
Check out some of the celebrity Super Bowl commercials we’re excited to see below!
Arnold Schwarzenegger & Salma Hayek
For the long-awaited BMW commercial, we’ve already gotten a teaser of Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Zeus, the Greek god of lightning. And we’re expected to get House of Gucci star Salma Hayek to play his wife Hera, the goddess of marriage and family, per HollywoodLife.
Halle Berry
Halle Berry posted a snippet of what’s to come from her Caeser’s Sportsbook half-time commercial. From her Instagram, here’s what we know: she’s going to be Cleopatra and there’s going to be cats — what more could you want? You can see her post HERE.
Zendaya
Euphoria star Zendaya is making her Super Bowl commercial debut in style, of course, for Squarespace. The website provider released a teaser of Zendaya twirling in an ocean-themed dress, getting people excited for their eighth Super Bowl campaign.
Dolly Parton & Miley Cyrus
In true Dolly Parton fashion, she is both adorable and cheeky in her Super Bowl ad for T-Mobile. She talks about how America is in need of help, specifically that she “needs to get something off her chest.” She then gets a 5G phone out of her chest and makes everyone laugh out loud, but then it ends with a cameo from her superstar goddaughter Miley Cyrus. To be continued… we can’t wait to see.
Colin Jost & Scarlett Johansson
Happily married couple Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson collaborate once again to bring an adorable ad for Amazon’s Alexa device. They set up for game-day with it, in awe of what she can do, but of course, it quickly goes awry. You can see the teaser HERE.
Kevin Hart
Like a few of the other celebrity-clad commercials, Sam’s Club is debuting its first Super Bowl ad with none other than Kevin Hart. Specifically, they’re wanting to show off their Scan & Go checkout function and since Hart is starring, you know there’s going to be a comedic misunderstanding that’ll make us laugh-out-loud.
Peyton Manning & Steve Buscemi
Like Uber Eats, Michelob Ultra is doing a three-parter with unexpected duo Peyton Manning and Steve Buscemi — and a possible third celebrity on the horizon. Based in a bowling alley, we see Manning picking up a bowling ball, Buscemu cleaning shoes, and the third person tying shoes.
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan is making her acting come back with a Planet Fitness ad that pokes fun at her party-girl past. In an interview with Glamour, she said she’s looking forward to doing more happy projects in the future, saying, “It’s hard because I want to do the right thing. This first movie was perfect for me because I really want to do something happy and fun and family-oriented. I like doing that. I miss seeing romantic comedies, and less of the horror [genre]. I want to keep it happy.”
You can watch the teaser HERE.
Jennifer Coolidge, Trevor Noah, & Gwyneth Paltrow
Before you get too excited, no, they’re not all in the same single commercial. Jennifer Coolidge, Trevor Noah, and Gwyneth Paltrow star in their own commercials, in a series for Uber Eats. From what we’ve seen already, the stars receive non-food deliveries and eat them anyway. Coolidge gets makeup, Noah gets deodorant, and of course, Paltrow gets a candle.
Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick and beloved Barbie teamed up for an ad for Rocket Homes, a real estate service provider. Everyone is excitedly waiting for the full version, also known as all three of their debuts. You can see the teaser HERE.
Steve Buscemi & Serena Williams
Now, remember that mystery person in the first Michelob ad? Well, it’s Serena Williams and she’s coming to school Peyton Manning, Steve Buscemi, and Alex Morgan in a good ol’ game of bowling. Buscemi says the iconic words, “Game time” once he sees Williams light up the room in a super chic purple jumpsuit.
Hannah Waddingham
Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham will be starring in a Casino Royale-themed, film noir-esque commercial for Rakuten and since it’ll be both of their debuts, we’re expecting they’ll air something amazing.
Paul Rudd & Seth Rogen
For the first time in over 15 years, Lay’s is releasing a Super Bowl commercial and they’re going all out with some of our favorite actors. Former co-stars Paul Rudd and Seth Rogan go meta as they sit in a car, questioning what a teaser is.
Eugene Levy, Danai Gurira, & Dave Bautista
The comedic trio we didn’t know we needed until now is here and we’re loving it. For the first time in seven years, Nissan is releasing a Super Bowl commercial with Eugene Levy, Black Panther‘s Danai Gurira, and Guardians of the Galaxyactor Dave Bautista. The trio will be playing out a comedic action movie trailer plugging the 2023 Nissan Z.
Brie Larson
Now Brie Larson didn’t make it into the Nissan teaser, despite being their Nissan spokeswoman, but it’s highly likely she will appear in the actual commercial, according to Adage, come game-day along with Eugene Levy, Danai Gurira, and Dave Bautista.
Idris Elba
Idris Elba will be starring in Booking.com’s first Super Bowl commercial, playing himself as he asks two celebrity spokesmen how to plan his trip correctly. The spokesman will be Isaiah Mustafa, of Old Spice, and Jonathan Goldsmith, from the Dos Equis commercials.
Charlie Puth & Megan Thee Stallion
In an unlikely detective duo, singers Charlie Puth and Megan Thee Stallion pair up for a Cheetos commercial to discover who’s been stealing their stuff. (Spoiler: it’s probably the Cheeto tiger!)
Guy Fieri
America’s favorite restaurateur Guy Fieri is also making it to the Super Bowl in an ad for Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda, where he proclaims it to be the “loudest flavor ever!” You can see the teaser HERE.
Jamie-Lynn Sigler
Sopranos alum Jamie-Lynn Sigler reprised her iconic role in the Chevrolet commercial for the Super Bowl. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Sigler said she thought the commercial and timing were perfect. “When I got the call about this commercial, the whole concept made such perfect sense: it’s Chevrolet coming out with this all-new Silverado EV. It’s about a new generation, which Meadow and A.J. represent. I thought it was a brilliant idea.”
Kanye West
Not only did Kanye West bring his kids to the Super Bowl but he made an appearance in a commercial of his own for McDonald’s. In the commercial, he gets lose in his thoghts as he tries to figure out what to order while in his infamous Sherp ATV.
