Photos of the Royal Family at Wimbledon Over the Years, 1947-2024

If there are two things you can expect from the British royal family, it’s amazing fashion and undying love for outdoor sports. Whether it’s a polo game or a good soccer match, they never miss a chance to enjoy the great outdoors to the fullest. One event the family adores going to is Wimbledon.

Now Wimbledon is one of the biggest events in sports, deemed one of the top Grand Slam tennis tournaments in the world. The royal family has been attending Wimbledon on and off for decades, with even the late King George arriving at the legendary 1947 event.

In particular, Kate Middleton and Prince William have arrived at the event over the years, time and time again in show-stopping outfits. Every time Kate comes in, everyone swarms to every store to find the real look or a fabulous lookalike. We have no doubt that if the Wales arrive, the same thing will happen.

Almost everyone in the British royal family has attended a Wimbledon match (including the late Queen Elizabeth II)! So, let’s take a look back at the times the British royal family has attended Wimbledon over the years below.
